Chandra (Sanskrit: चन्द्र, romanized: Candra, lit. 'shining or moon', also known as Soma, Indu, Atrisuta, Sachihna, Taradhipa and Nishakara, is the Hindu lunar deity. He is also one of the nine planets and guardians of the directions in Hinduism.
