Haroun also called Fadhiweyn, and natively in Somali transliterated as Xarunta, was a 400 member government and headquarters of the Dervishes, the anti-colonialists led by Sayid Mohamed based in Taleex. According to Claude Edward Marjoribanks Dansey, the political officer in the British Somali Coast Protectorate, the haroun consisted of 400 individuals.
