Kirby is a series of action-platform games developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The series centers around a young extraterrestrial hero and the main player character called Kirby, who protects his home planet of Pop Star from various threats using his power to inhale and swallow enemies and gain their abilities. The series has sold over 20 million copies worldwide as of September 2008.
