Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from September 1988 to December 1993. It chapters were collected into 24 tankōbon volumes by Shogakukan. It was adapted into an anime television series titled Kenyū Densetsu Yaiba, aired on TV Tokyo from April 1993 to April 1994. In 1993, Yaiba received the 38th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category.
